Current Status: Alive on Earth
His Avengers 4 Fate: Rocket has an incredibly dark past, with his existence being the result of genetic experimentation and torture. He's been looking for acceptance his entire life, and he finally found a family when he bumped into the Guardians. Now, they're all gone, and he must feel like he's on his own once again.
That's a lot for the character to deal with, so he'll be in a rough place when Avengers 4 starts. But Rocket's time with the Guardians has taught him the merits of friendship and teamwork, and given his new camaraderie with Thor, you can see him sticking around with the remaining Avengers and being a valuable part of their plan to reverse Thanos' snap, especially if that plan involves anything cosmic.
He'll survive the movie and will continue on, and given his new, fan-favourite friendship with Thor, the pair could team up for some more wild adventures in future movies, like Guardians Vol. 3 or a potential Ragnarok sequel.
