Her Avengers 4 Fate: Avengers 4 writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely recently confirmed that Black Widow (and Cap) will have a greatly expanded role in Avengers 4, which will come as a relief to those who believe that Infinity War short-changed her a bit.

While Widow is one of the most underpowered heroes in the MCU, she's shown time and time again that she has the bravery and the skill to take on tough opponents. But if Avengers 4 goes cosmic - which it probably will - it's hard to see her tagging along. Instead, she'll probably remain on Earth to do any fighting there. This way, some closure can also be provided to the long in-development Black Widow/Hulk storyline.

Hulk didn't re-emerge at all in Infinity War, but now, the universe needs his extraordinary power. We're counting on Natasha being the person who helps coax the Hulk out of his shell, which could mean she's forced to say goodbye to Banner and watch the Hulk take over - which would put a touching cap on their relationship.

And she won't die, either. She has a solo movie coming up, and whether it's a prequel or not, it would be weird to give a deceased character a standalone adventure.
