When you think of the medium's most iconic partnerships - the Batman and Robins, the Luke Cage and Iron Fists - it's likely that Captain America and Falcon doesn't immediately come to mind, despite the fact they held equal billing for much of their history.

By all means, Captain America and Falcon should be held alongside those other duos. It could be argued that they're waiting on their iconic moment, and while Anthony Mackie and Chris Evans had great chemistry in both Winter Soldier and Civil War, it was the moments shared between Falcon and Bucky that were more memorable.

Stan and Mackie have both gone on record saying that they'd appreciate a Falcon/Bucky buddy movie along the lines of 48 Hrs, and while that would sound like wishful thinking at the moment, it makes almost too much sense. They were both highlights of Civil War, and with Ant-Man and the Wasp having kicked-off double billing in MCU titling, who's to say that the fourth Captain America film won't be called 'Captain America and Falcon'?

Actors spitball ideas all the time, and though it's true we could be reading a little bit too much into Stan and Mackie's comments, of all the Marvel films that've been hypothesised by actors, this one feels like the most organic.

But what do you think will happen to Bucky in Avengers 4? Is he really dead? Let us know in the comments below!
