Avengers 4 Title: 8 Huge Predictions After The Russos' Teaser

8. Avengers: Forever

Avengers Forever
Marvel Comics

[Ewan Paterson]

Once you get past the idea of the follow-up to Infinity War having an obnoxious ‘4’ somewhere in its title, Avengers Forever sounds fantastic. It’s actually already the title of a somewhat overlooked storyline from the comics, wherein Rick Jones is forced to assemble Avengers from the past, the present and the future - hence the title, Avengers Forever.

The comic itself is well worth a read, and though the story itself has nothing to do with Infinity Gems, Gauntlets or Mad Titans, the thematic connotations of its title actually lend themselves well to the current predicament of the MCU post-snap. It’s also looking increasingly likely that Avengers 4 will boast a time-travel element.

If that is the case, and the surviving members find themselves hurtling through the time stream to find a way to defeat Thanos, then that’s just one similarity it’ll have with the comic. But, more importantly, Avengers Forever sounds defiant. What better way to rally half the universe, than to proclaim that Earth’s Mightiest Heroes genuinely are eternal?
