2. Captain Marvel & Stealing The Stones

"We see Captain Marvel floating with her fists on fire and her eyes lit up. Thanos in the soul stone with young Gamora screaming at him, Loki and Thor fighting off Chitauri together and Tony handing Steve a brand new shield in the Wakandan throne room. (Cuts back to Tony and Scott) Tony opens the orange briefcase as Scott hands him an illuminated bracelet. Tony asks: “How?… Is this even possible?” Iron Man and Ant-Man are shown travelling through the Quantum Realm. Tony and Scott are back in the battle of New York from 2012. The final shot before the title reveal is an Infinity Stone disappearing from Thanos’ damaged gauntlet. He abruptly gets up and puts on his armor. His face goes from extremely infuriated to a menacing smile."

Now this is good.

Not only do we get a look at Captain Marvel in full flow, but there's also confirmation of the Soul World, Loki's return (presumably in the past as part of the revisited Battle Of New York) AND a huge suggestion that Tony and Scott Lang combine technology (the bracelet being QR tech and the orange briefcase being B.A.R.F.) to time travel.

There's also a great suggestion that the Avengers are indeed going back in time to steal the Stones, which makes precisely no sense, since it would make Vision obsolete at some point, but let's not argue at this stage because Thanos going after the time travellers to stop them is a lovely idea. It still all feels a little too spoilery though.

1. The Title Reveal

"Title reveal: Avengers: Annihilation"Stinger: The Hulk is training at the new SHIELD facility with Black Widow and Steve. Steve notices that Hulk has been training non-stop as of late, so he asks why. Hulk responds in Banner’s normal voice with: “My rematch is coming real soon, I can feel it!”"

That's the biggest deal, right there: a title. It's one that has come up before in the rounds of speculation, but it's not entirely expected compared to some of the other options. It seemingly suggests that we might be getting Annihilus as well (which has been teased by an official toy artwork leak already).

Annihilation is a difficult one to accept for this story, since the Avengers' whole agenda is to reverse annihilate everything that was annihilated at the end of Infinity War. But at least it's an impact title.

And as for the stinger? It's good to see Hulk back, though that line about Hulk "training harder than usual" is a little odd since we've literally NEVER seen Hulk train. It's not like he's an athlete whose powers can be honed through practice - he gets stronger as he gets madder. He's not Rocky punching meat in a freezer. Still, good mic drop moment to end on and a suggestion that Hulk and Banner have become the Professor Hulk character it was speculated they might.
