Avengers 5: 10 Possible Storylines It Would Be Awesome To See In The MCU
8. Young Avengers
There is, of course, a chance that Marvel Studios will do something totally unexpected with the Avengers franchise. Rather than creating a new team made up of heroes like Captain Marvel, Spider-Man, and The Hulk, they could shift the spotlight to the Young Avengers instead.
Introduced shortly after the core team was "disassembled" in the comic books, Marvel could mix Wiccan and Speed (both of whom are set to be introduced in WandaVision) with the likes of Ms. Marvel, Stature, and Clint Barton's protégé, a.k.a. the new Hawkeye.
Essentially taking the Avengers franchise down the "YA" route would definitely be a bold and potentially controversial move, but there's a lot of story to be told here, and it's hard to escape the feeling that this is what Kevin Feige has planned, especially after Cassie Lang was aged up in Avengers: Endgame and it became clear the plan is for Kang the Conqueror to appear alongside her in Ant-Man 3.
Why does that matter? Well, the Young Avengers comic revealed that a younger Kang was, in fact, Iron Lad, with his older self arriving in the present to bring an end to his past self's heroic antics.
