7. Secret Wars
Of course, nothing has been confirmed regarding Avengers 5, which means that there are a few rumours floating around that contradict each other. While there are those claiming a smaller scale movie on one hand, there is also a rumour of one of the biggest crossover events in the history of Marvel comics on the other.
Secret Wars brought the heroes and villains from every universe, dimension, and world together, to battle for the amusement of a greater, cosmic being. This would give Marvel the opportunity to rival the scale of Endgame, bringing together the Avengers, Guardians, Eternals, Fantastic Four, and X-Men, as well the characters from the Disney+ branch of the MCU. And of course, any other character that doesn't fall into any of the above categories.
That is just the heroes. Every villain that has appeared in the MCU could stand opposite the good guys in this battle royal, and even potentially team up with them to bring down the franchise's latest big bad, The Beyonder.
It could even cross over with the Sony universe, bringing the likes of Venom and Mobius into the Avengers franchise. This is one of the few stories the MCU could tell that would have the potential to top that of Endgame.
