Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Minor Marvel Characters That Will Appear

10. Dr Erik Selvig

Stellan Skarsgård is an award-winning Swedish thespian of some repute, known for his masterful performances in films like Lars Von Trier's Breaking The Waves, Gus Van Sant's Good Will Hunting, and the original Scandinavian version of Insomnia (which was later remade by Christopher Nolan). Last time you saw him, however, he was running around Stonehenge in his pants. Thor: The Dark World was the last time Dr Erik Selvig appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having been mentally traumatised by serving time as Loki's brainwashed servant in the first Avengers film. Skarsgård is credited on that poster, although it's not known how big a role his character will play this time. After all, he was integral to the first Thor film and once they got some clothes on him in The Dark World, he played a key part there too. His contribution to the first Avengers was a little smaller, but no less crucial, as he did the bidding of Tom Hiddleston's villainous Asgardian. Maybe he'll have a part to play in the Ultron project?
