Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 11 Implications For Captain America: Civil War
5. Quicksilver Is Probably Gone For Good
Everyone knew that someone was going to die in Age of Ultron because it's a Joss Whedon movie, but there's a good chance you put your money on someone like Thor rather than Quicksilver, right? Well, Quicksilver gets riddled with bullets by Ultron at the climax of the movie, saving Hawkeye and a young boy in doing so. Though it's entirely possible that he could be resurrected in a future movie given how death doesn't really have a lot of finality in the comic book world, one can't help but suspect that this one's for keeps. After all, X-Men: Days of Future Past already nailed the character far better than this movie did, and to kill a character off in the same movie in which he's introduced suggests that there's not a lot of love for him on the creative side. He's almost certainly done for good, and definitely won't be showing up in Civil War, leaving Scarlet Witch to go on without her brother.
