Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 15 Obscure Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

Age Of Ultron owes a lot to the Ultimate Marvel imprint, in story terms and there are some very obvious reference points, not just in the appearance of characters (including Scarlet Witch's final costume).

There's also a big reference in Hawkeye's arc that draws a lot from the same source. One of the reasons everyone believed that terrible things were going to happen to Hawkeye was the inclusion of the farm safe-house.

In the comics, after Black Widow betrays him, the farm house becomes the scene for the death of his family. So if he wasn't carrying around enough of a Doomed Label, that should have confirmed it further for eagle-eyed Marvel fans.

There's also another reference to the Ultimates version of the character in his barn, where an Olympic archery target sits in the background. Before joining the Ultimates, Barton's cover was that he was an Olympian.
