Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 8 Things You Need To Know About Paul Bettany's Vision
5. As For His Powers...
Now what his abilities are...well, nobody's quite sure yet. He's a robot, which is cool and all, and would probably make him count as a superhero by the Marvel movie standards (since Tony Stark as Iron Man is just a guy inside a robot; if anything, The Vision is even more of a hero for committing fully). But even in the comics, the extent of his powers and what they actually consist of vary. He's described as being every inch a human being except that all of his bodily organs are constructed of synthetic materials, which seems like a pretty major difference, but whatever. No prejudice. But this synthetic materials apparently allow him to do any number of things, but especially that funky jewel he has in his forehead. Apparently that provides him with solar power. And he can fire than energy out of his hands, like Iron Man's blast. In the comics it also allows him to fly, be nearly indestructible, and lets him walk through walls and stuff like a ghost. Plus he's really strong. Which would make the rest of the Avengers kinda surplus to requirements, so expect him to be a little nerfed.
