Avengers: Age Of Ultron Ending - What Happens And What Does It Mean?

Yes, there's spoilers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUrr5M-HSDE The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a series built on event movies. And The Avengers are the biggest event movies of the lot. Bringing together all of the disparate heroes from the stand-alone movies (bar the Guardians Of The Galaxy) along with a bunch who only come out of the woodwork for the box office-busting team-ups, the films are the lynchpins of the whole universe, their events having far reaching impacts across the rest of the upcoming slate (which currently goes all the way to 2019). Naturally, then, Avengers: Age Of Ultron is pretty important; the events that unfold are going to have a big effect, not just on the movies coming in the next year, but all the way up to Avengers: Infinity War. So, just how does the second Avengers end? And, more importantly, what impact does it have on the various characters and on the wider world going forward? That's what we're going to reveal/analyse today. As if it needs to be stated, from here on in there's a MASSIVE SPOILER warning in effect. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ykK4Mt1R5Q

What Happens In The Final Act?

A cyborg body created to be Ultron's new, upgraded form is taken by the Avengers. J.A.R.V.I.S.' consciousness is uploaded and, after some debate over the ethics of making another A.I., Vision is born. Ultron's big plan is, put simply, to destroy humanity. He was created to bring about world peace, which his warped computer mind sees as wiping out man's destructive influence. He plans to do this by flying a big chunk of the Eastern European country Sokovia (the same country Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver are from) high into the atmosphere and bringing it crashing down meteorite style. The Avengers (who now include Vision, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver), with the help of Nick Fury in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and War Machine, take on Ultron's forces, working hard to save those civilians caught in the action in the process. The flying city is stopped by Iron Man and Thor, who, once the city is clear, shatter the rock into thousands of tiny pieces. That's the general events, but what about the specifics? Read on for the in-depth analysis.
