Avengers Age Of Ultron Poster: 8 Questions From Details You Might Have Missed

8. Does Danny Elfman Mean Spider-Man Is Going To Appear Early?

As eagle-eyed fans will have noticed, the credits feature what amounts to a special mention for Danny Elfman, celebrated composer, and crucially the man behind the Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 soundtracks. He's credited as providing "additional material", which could suggest that the film is at least going to include some sort of musical nod to Spidey's presence in the MCU. That wouldn't be a new thing - Jurassic Park featured an homage to Close Encounters Of The Third Kind hidden in the credits - but it might be an indication that Spidey himself might actually appear in a stinger, along with his soundtrack to explicitly draw the links between Sony's work and the MCU. That would make sense, considering Sony need this not to be a complete redo: their "soft reboot" has to acknowledge that it's still them that own it, and that the history of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man is still important.
