5. Thanos Appears And Actually Does Something

Ever since Thanos first appeared in the end credit sequence of The Avengers, it's been assumed that the mad Titan will feature heavily in future movies on a quest to collect all of the infinity stones and basically kill everyone for the hell of it. Many were surprised when Ultron was instead unveiled as the central antagonist for the first sequel, but now Avengers: Infinity War is on its way, it's clear that Thanos will play a key role in the MCU as a whole for years to come. After Thanos' brief appearance in Guardians Of The Galaxy, Whedon has now confirmed that the mad Titan will have a presence in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, acting as "the overlord of villainy and darkness." While this is likely to just result in another brief cameo, it would make sense at this point for Whedon to demonstrate more of Thanos' power in order to build up anticipation for Infinity War. Thanos will be the most powerful villain seen yet in the MCU, but so far all he's been seen to do is sit in a throne and act menacing. Maybe he'll do something novel like actually stand up this time. That will show those pesky Avengers what they're really up against.
