Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 10 Characters From The Comic Arc Who'll Be Missed

10. Moon Knight

Who Is He? Moon Knight is Marc Spector - the troubled and delinquent son of an American rabbi. He grew up and directed his childhood anger towards becoming a professional boxer, U.S. Marine and mercenary. Whilst working alongside his friend, French pilot Jean-Paul DuChamp, for the African mercenary known as Bushman in Egypt, they uncover some priceless artefacts. Bushman kills a member of the dig crew in order to loot the dig and Spector challenges him to a fight. He loses - badly - and is beaten to near death. A group of god-worshipping Egyptians find him, take him to a temple and lay him before a statue of the god Khonshu, who appears to him in a vision as he dies and offers him a second chance at life if he will become his avatar on Earth - in accepting this opportunity, he gained enhanced physical attributes and became Moon Knight. Why He'll Be Missed Close to the beginning of the Age of Ultron comic book arc, Black Widow meets with Moon Knight in San Francisco at one of Nick Fury's secret bases. They find his fail-safe contingency plans for various apocalyptic scenarios and then travel, with Red Hulk, all the way to the Savage Land in Antarctica. There, the trio reveal the specific plans they found to defeat Ultron and are therefore key characters in his demise and the ultimate outcome of the story. They meet with Nick Fury and discuss using Doctor Doom's time platform to go back in time to put a stop to Ultron before he launches the attack that has the world in such a terrible state in the present.
