Even beyond the Ultimate Universe, writer Mark Millar has had a taste for the bizarre and the outrageous when it comes to the Avengers. In 2008s Old Man Logan Wolverine storyline, Millar and artist Steve McNiven create a dystopian future timeline where the worlds deadliest supervillains rule the Earth after banding together to destroy all the Marvel heroes. At the centre of this catastrophic conflict is Bruce Banners Hulk, who has procreated with his first cousin, She-Hulk, incestuously producing a tribe of redneck children and grandchildren. As if an incest angle isn't tasteless enough, the Hulk family murders Logans family, resurrecting his Wolverine persona, which had been killed when the world first fell 50 years earlier. When Logan seeks his vengeance, the Hulk defeats him and eats him. As hes being digested, Wolverines healing factor kicks in and hes able to claw his way out of the Hulks stomach. Incest, gory mass murder and cannibalism not only is it just another Millar story, it is also one of the most outrageous storylines to ever appear in a Marvel comic, regardless of the fact that it was all set in a dystopian timeline. The general concept of Old Man Logan might make for a worthwhile film in the X-Men universe, but it would likely drop all of the blood and guts in favour of something a little tamer. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios should have no desire to adapt a Hulk/She-Hulk incestuous redneck family angle for the big screen for obvious reasons.
