Avengers: Age Of Ultron - 13 Biggest Questions We Want Answered

8. What Is Baron Strucker's Role?

Having been confirmed to appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron some time ago, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, portrayed by Thomas Kretschmann, made his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the mid-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The character appeared in a secret base as a high-ranking member of HYDRA, where it was revealed that he is in possession of the staff wielded by Loki in the first Avengers movie and has Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch (who he referred to as "the twins") held in a pair of adjoining cells, where they are displaying their powers in a somewhat psychotic manner. He went on to refer to "the age of miracles," with "miracles" believed to be the name given to mutants in this continuity, and seemingly intends to use them for his own corrupt means. But how, exactly? What is his role going to be in Age of Ultron? Does he have more super-powered characters at his disposal? Perhaps some that he can use against the Avengers? Will he have anything to do with Ultron's creation? It's a very intriguing prospect, as he is a very cool villain in the comics.
