Avengers: Endgame - 10 Best Gags Ranked From Worst To Best

What's the one thing you'd never expect to come out of Captain America's own perfectly patriotic mouth? Nazi propaganda, probably, so there's one moment in Endgame which gets the most bizarre laugh of them all: Steve Rogers pledging allegiance to known Nazi corporation, Hydra.

Stuck in a lift with a load of dour-faced officials that have the mind stone under lock and key, Cap recognises that he had no idea about the secret Hydra operatives in his midst back at this point in time - but with the aid of some super hindsight, can trick them into believing that he did to get the stone off of them. By setting us up for another ass-kicking elevator scene like in The Winter Soldier, we instead get Captain America dealing with Hydra calmly and tactically, muttering a 'Hail Hydra' into one of their ears before leaving with the stone in its briefcase in his hands as they all stand agape behind him.

It's hilarious, and a great throwback to the Secret Empire crossover storyline that sent comic book nerds into a frenzy.
