Avengers: Endgame - 10 Best Moments
2. Steve Rogers Gets His Dance
To the surprise of many, Steve Rogers managed to survive Endgame's final battle, and at the conclusion of the film heads back in time in order to return the Infinity Stones to their rightful places along with Mjolnir.
But when Banner attempts to retrieve him from the past, Steve doesn't return, and after a beat, the team is greeted by an older Steve Rogers, who chose to live out his life in the past as originally intended.
Steve then gifts the Captain America shield to Falcon, and after he inquires about a wedding ring on Steve's ringer, Steve decides to play coy rather than reveal the truth.
Thankfully for fans, the Russos cut back to the past for the film's final scene, where Steve is enjoying a dance and a smooch with none other than Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell).
As the culmination of one of the MCU's few truly affecting and investing romances, this was an enormously satisfying coda for both Cap and the O.G. Avengers as a whole.
