3. "I Am Iron Man"

The final battle climaxes with Thanos acquiring the Infinity Stones, but when he appears to perform the snap once more, he discovers that Tony has pulled a sleight-of-hand, using his own nanotech-infused Infinity Gauntlet to steal the stones back.

Tony then tells Thanos, "I am Iron Man," before snapping his fingers, causing all of the Mad Titan's army to turn to dust, before a speechless Thanos himself is also disintegrated.

But the price? Tony is mortally wounded by using the Infinity Gauntlet, and gets a few tender moments with Peter (Tom Holland) and Pepper before passing. Pepper tells him, "You can rest now", after which Tony expires from his injuries, in a moment sure to leave fans wiping the tears away.

It's an incredibly fitting and poignant end for the character who started it all, cemented by a devastating funeral scene in which the Avengers gather to pay their final respects to the hero who gave everything for the universe.

And it goes without saying, but Robert Downey Jr.'s performance was note-perfect during that final scene.
