Avengers: Endgame - 10 Characters Most Likely To Die

1. Tony Stark

While Captain America will probably willingly die for the cause if he has to, Tony Stark seems to already have an actual death wish. He's been reckless over the years and it's almost like Cap's challenge that he would never sacrifice himself has haunted him ever since.

We know that Robert Downey Jr will be leaving the role of Tony Stark soon too and the only way to swiftly stop any fan call for him to return - which would distract from the marketing of every subsequent film he could appear in - is to make it impossible by killing him.

How He Could Die

Thanos and Tony Stark are mirror images, which is what is pulling Tony towards his seemingly inevitable doom. But it would be far more fitting for Tony to realise that his blinkered obsessions (of saving the world and being Iron Man) are what is destroying him and to do something truly altruistic. That would be the perfect way to complete his arc.

What Might Save Him?

Cap's sacrifice has to mean something and it changing Tony's path away from the Thanos-like zealot obsessed with protecting the Earth at the cost of himself might be the best way to give that moment more meaning.
