Avengers: Endgame - 10 Scenes Everyone Expected To See (That Didn't Happen)

Sure, go ahead and laugh. No, no one expected this to be the way they actually defeated Thanos, but the directors surely could have thrown the audience a joke or two and referenced the proposal. Rhodey did pitch going back in time and strangling baby Thanos, so it seems like all strategies were on the table.

The ending has been coined, “Thanus,” and even the directors had to put their two-cents in. They joked, “Someone blew the ending of the movie! Someone at one of the test screenings broke their NDA and ruined the movie for millions of people. I will say though, it was very difficult to shoot!”

Sadly, we did not see Ant-Man go inside Thanos’ anus and then resize to explode him from within. The ending was pretty great, seeing Tony utter his final line, “I am Iron Man” was emotional and the perfect exclamation point on the Infinity Saga.
