Endgame isn't sunshine and rainbows from start to end, but it's also not unbearably dark, either. However, if one of Markus and McFeely's early ideas had made the final cut, the scales would've tipped much more heavily towards the sinister end of the tonal spectrum.

As crazy as it sounds, the writers once considered including a scene where 2014 Thanos entered the final battle by throwing down the severed head of 2012 Captain America, showing the Avengers that he had utterly devastated that other reality and was capable of doing the same to theirs.

For obvious reasons, this idea was nipped in the bud early on, and the final version of Endgame only features a single decapitated head.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
