Avengers: Endgame - 10 Secrets We Just Learned From The Writers At Comic-Con

2. Jane Foster Almost Had A Bigger Role

Scientist Jane Foster makes the briefest of brief appearances in Endgame, visible onscreen when Rocket and Thor (well, mainly Rocket) are trying to retrieve the Reality Stone that's trapped inside her body. But she almost had a much bigger part.

Early on, it was going to be Jane who helped raise Thor out of the well of sadness he'd lost himself in, and not his mother, Frigga. However, it was decided that Jane simply wasn't the right candidate for the job, and Frigga was drafted in instead.

A conversation scene between Rocket and Jane was also scripted, which would've involved Rocket explaining that he intended to extract the Reality Stone from her. Jane, intelligent as she is, would've understood completely.

Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room to cram this extra scene in, and it was shelved.
