Avengers: Endgame - 11 Big Questions After The Super Bowl Spot

How can the MCU move on, when they're gone?

The Super Bowl has been and gone, and what we're left with is more important than Tom Brady picking up a 6th ring: movie trailers. And no movie is bigger right now than Avengers: Endgame, which unveiled a new 30-second spot during the Big Game.

Even more so than the first trailer, which dropped back in December, this teases the darkness and overwhelming bleakness felt not only by the Avengers, but the entire world too after Thanos' snap. There's a real focus on the aftermath of the Decimation, along with the struggle Earth's Mightiest Heroes face to put things right.

As you'd expect - and as is especially the case with this movie - Marvel aren't giving anything away. The trailer is very much about setting the tone and giving only the most general idea of what to expect, which means we're left with a lot of questions.

11. Are They ALL Coming Back?

Even when the heroes were disappearing from existence at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, it was well-known that most of them would be returning just a year later. The heroes who were killed are, for the most part, for the future of the MCU, so of course they're going to come back.

What's interesting, though, is how Marvel chose to begin this trailer, with a rapid-fire snapshot of almost all of Thanos' victims. The exceptions are Loki and Heimdall, but even non-Snap deaths like Gamora (as part of the Guardians lineup) and Vision are featured too.

Is this merely a tribute, or does it suggest that Vision and Gamora will return too? It's likely both will be in this film - Zoe Saldana has previously posted about filming - but does that mean they'll both be back from the dead? Even if the Snap is reversed, it wouldn't explain why they come back, but with time travel involved, and the potential of AVOIDING the Snap all together, then there's a greater possibility for both to live.
