Marvel are being more guarded than ever before with Avengers: Endgame, since there's so much more to spoil now, and that could also mean they're going heavier on the misdirects.

This was a big feature of Infinity War's marketing too - Hulk in Wakanda, Thor with Stormbreaker etc - and it also feels like they're massively withholding things in Captain Marvel's marketing too. Given this is even bigger, it'd make sense if they're deliberately trying to trick us.

Put simply, there's not an awful lot in this trailer to trust - and then again, maybe that's why you should trust it - and it begs the question of just how much Marvel are fooling us, and how much they already have in the information that's come out before now.
