Avengers: Endgame - 13 Best Callbacks To The MCU

One of the deepest cuts Endgame breaks out is pretty much destined to go right over the heads of the vast majority of audiences.

During Tony's funeral, the entire cast of characters is gathered together, paying their respects to their fallen comrade. But as the camera pans through the crowd, there is a teenage boy standing towards the back who looks entirely unfamiliar and has not been seen at any point earlier in the movie. Heck, he hasn't been seen at any point in any of the MCU movies since all the way back in 2013.

That was when Iron Man 3 was released and this boy is none other than a grown version of Harley Keener, played by Ty Simpkins, the boy that Tony teamed up with and became something of a reluctant father figure to. Despite the relatively short amount of time these two characters spent together, it was obvious even back then that Tony had left a huge impact on the would-be-kid-inventor so for Endgame to go to such great lengths to bring him back lends even more emotion to an already incredibly emotional scene.
