12. Did Pepper Survive? Is She Pregnant?

The trailer's sombre opening sequence sees Tony recording a message for Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) as his supplies begin to run out, though this begs the question - did Pepper even survive the Decimation?

While it certainly makes for easy drama to have Pepper mourning Tony back on Earth, that's such an obvious way to go that the Russos could easily pull the rug out and reveal that Pepper was also a victim of the snap.

However, considering that Paltrow has been seen shooting scenes for Endgame, it's probably fairly unlikely that she's dust, unless she simply shows up in those rumoured time travel sequences.

If we assume Pepper is alive, this raises another question - is she pregnant? Infinity War wasn't remotely subtle about foreshadowing Tony and Pepper finally settling down to start a family, and if Tony manages to survive Endgame, that would be a pretty natural "ending" for his character.

Again, this could've been set up only to be totally subverted given how obvious it seems, but at the same time, it wouldn't be remotely surprising if Endgame concluded with Tony hanging up the Iron Man mantle and focusing on being a father instead.
