11. How Big Is Thanos' Role?

The trailer featured curiously little of Thanos, with just a shot of his armour shown hanging up at his farmhouse retreat, followed up by an image of him walking through a field. We didn't get a single look at his face, prompting many to consider the size of the Mad Titan's role in Endgame.

After all, the Russos called Thanos the protagonist of Infinity War, and considering both his screen time and the successful nature of his quest, it makes a lot of sense.

But fans probably shouldn't expect to see quite so much of the big purple guy in Endgame, because it will likely focus more on the Avengers being on the back foot, and Thanos probably won't be alerted to their rescue attempt for quite some time.

He'll still be in the movie a considerable amount for sure, but if Infinity War was his story, Endgame will be that of the frontline Avengers.
