Avengers Endgame: 15 Under-Appreciated Moments (That Deserve More Love)

1. Frigga's (and Mjolnir's) Return

Frigga's role in Thor and Loki's lives has always been overshadowed by Odin's. Odin was one of the biggest reasons Loki became Marvel's greatest villain-who-is-sometimes-the-reluctant-ally, and the one who struck Thor down so that he could find humility. However, such as in Thor: The Dark World, Frigga's role in their lives is undeniably important, and it could be argued that if she had had the opportunity to make the decisions Odin had to, the MCU would have happier, less broken Asgardian brothers.

All that said, her death in Thor: The Dark World was one of the film's most heartfelt, tragic, and beautiful moments, with a funeral only topped by the one in Endgame, and having her come back for Endgame was a great move on the Russos's part, having her help Thor through a difficulty Odin very likely would've fumbled.

Her wisdom and unquestioning love help Thor through one of the darkest times in his life, and she imparts on him words that should be heeded by everyone.

Of course, having Mjolnir come to Thor's hand to compound that lesson didn't hurt either. It ties off Thor's arc in this film nicely - defeating the doubt in himself before defeating his enemies.
