16. Hawkeye Went DARK (Nat Watched)

We were told pretty early on that Clint Barton was going to be the most changed of all of the Avengers thanks to a new look and hints of his Ronin persona coming out. It turned out that this was all in response to the loss of his family to the Decimation, which leads him to travel the world righting wrongs in Thanos' "rebalancing" by killing criminals who didn't deserve to be saved while millions of innocents perished.

That's a truly great story, but it has serious issues because of the film's rating. Firstly, despite this being a PG-13, the first time we meet "Ronin," he's chasing down Yakuza and we watch in fairly graphic detail as he slices one of their throats open and watches him plead for mercy. This in a PG-13. How?!

And then to top it all off, once Barton kills his target, the camera pulls back to reveal that Black Widow has simply been standing watching from a few feet away. Despite the fact that she's supposed to be horrified and concerned by what Barton has become. Clearly not that horrified.
