Since it's the conclusion of an epic 21-movie story, Endgame was always going to be a unique blockbuster experience, but perhaps we aren't ready for just how unique it actually is.

Critics aren't just calling it a standout within the superhero movie genre, but within the blockbuster space - and franchise filmmaking - as a whole. We won't know the specifics of what makes it so unique until we see the film for ourselves, but the fact that it has so many movies leading up to it (and so many plot threads to tie up) already positions it as a one-of-a-kind movie-going experience, arguably the first of its kind.
