"Endgame spends too much time wallowing in its own pompous mythology." - The Irish Times
"Ultimately, Avengers: Endgame feels exhausting. That's not a knock against the movie, though." - Slash Film
"As Endgame sputters to the finish line, it leaves the impression of witnessing a Marvel Movie Marathon compressed to three hours - and 58 seconds, but trust me, they're disposable - of unbridled fan service." - IndieWire

We've known for a long time that Endgame will have a lot to pack into its runtime, and even at three hours, it still feels like there's an impossible amount of story to address. As a result, there's a concern that the film might end up being overstuffed, collapsing under the weight of its own ambition.

And now that people have seen it, some reviewers have confirmed that this might be an issue for certain people. Endgame is said to be extremely dense, and while some fans will gobble up every tiny millisecond of avenging goodness, others might leave the film just feeling... tired.

People who aren't fans of the MCU will obviously get less out of it than those of us who've been with Tony Stark since day one, but even if you're confident that you'll love it, be aware that you're going to get an insane amount of story washing over you, and some of it might not land.
