1. All The Missing Trailer Footage

Perhaps the biggest surprise coming away from Infinity War is just how much footage from the trailers wasn't even in the final movie. While it's entirely possible the trailers featured some clips from Avengers 4, as the Wakanda battle may play out again via time travel, it was highly refreshing for a blockbuster's marketing to toy with expectations so much (yet not pull an Iron Man 3 and fully throw them out the window).

Countless shots and scenes are either altered or entirely absent: Thanos brandishing the Infinity Gauntlet on Titan plays out quite differently in the movie (he only had the Power and Space Stones in the trailer), and the epic money shot of all the Avengers running towards the screen is nowhere to be seen.

Hell, The Hulk doesn't even show up at all in the Wakanda sequence (though not for lack of Bruce's trying), so either this shot was created purely for promotional purposes, or it's being saved for the grand finale next year.

Whatever the eventuality, to see such a huge movie managing to upend expectations and keep fans on their toes is encouraging for whatever the Russos serve up in the sequel.
