Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Best Moments

2. Calling Captain Marvel

Though it would've been fitting if Infinity War had no credits scenes whatsoever, the post-credits scene at least did a fantastic job of staying relevant to Thanos' atrocity while setting up the introduction of the MCU's latest superhero.

Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) are driving through New York when Thanos' finger snap happens, causing people to disintegrate before their very eyes and all hell to break loose in the city.

A moment later, Maria Hill disintegrates, and after another beat, Fury himself turns to dust, just as he begins to quip, "Motherf---."

The most telling moment, though, is that Fury managed to send out a distress call a second before dying, and as we close in on the transponder's LED read-out, Captain Marvel's logo is visible.

While the key to defeating Thanos hopefully won't be as simple as Captain Marvel joining the team and totally cheesing him - considering that Kevin Feige has already confirmed she'll be the most powerful Avenger - clearly she'll be instrumental in ultimately repelling the Mad Titan.
