Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Biggest Moments Of Foreshadowing

6. Thanos (Avengers: Age Of Ultron Mid-Credits Scene)

Thanos' second appearance in a mid-credits scene came in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron. Even though he had already made his first appearance in the main body of a movie - 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy - this was the most explicit reference to his part in the forthcoming Avengers: Infinity War offerings. The Mad Titan appeared on screen opening some kind of container and removed an Infinity Gauntlet from it (again, the use of the word "an" before "Infinity Gauntlet" is intentional, as there is more than one in the Marvel Cinematic Universe). He then said "Fine, I'll do it myself", meaning he will stop relying on flunkies like Loki and Ronan to collect the Infinity Stones for him and start getting his hands dirty, as they were repeatedly failing him. It seemed slightly misplaced, as Thanos didn't have a henchman in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but it has led people to theorise that the creation of Ultron was something he intricately planned by sending Loki to Earth with the Mind Stone.
