Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Fresh Predictions Based On The Trailers

The theory that the elusive Soul Stone is located in Wakanda dates back to the days before Black Panther conquered the box office, and the cosmic gem's absence in the Ryan Coogler movie doesn't necessarily mean it's null and void.

Footage from both trailers confirms that Thanos launches a full-scale invasion of Wakanda, and this appears to be one of Infinity War's biggest set pieces. Why would the Mad Titan invest so much of his resources into an attack on one of Earth's most powerful nations if there wasn't something he needs there?

Of course, there's always a chance the Avengers will take the remaining Infinity Stones to Wakanda for safe keeping, but there's evidence to suggest it may already have one of its own, despite Coogler's apparent reluctance to confirm this.

Black Panther never really reveals what was so special about that meteorite which crashed down in Wakanda and why it was capable of providing the nation with a lifetime's supply of Vibranium. There's bound to be more to it than meets the eye, and if it has an Infinity Stone at its core, that would pretty much explain the mystery.

Tying Wakanda's wealth and power to an Infinity Stone would give Black Panther and his compatriots a deeper stake in the Infinity War, a more meaningful reason to oppose Thanos when he launches his invasion, not that there's a chance of T'Challa's country sinking back into splendid isolation so soon, in any case.
