That Nebula defeats Thanos.

In the Infinity Gauntlet, it is Nebula who ultimately "defeats" Thanos, taking over the Infinity Gauntlet when he "ascends" to a corporeal form after beating the biggest powers the multiverse has to offer. That could include Dormammu, since he's now been introduced. In the comics, she becomes worse than her father, but her power-wielding is far from assured and she is tricked into undoing his devastation of the universe and the deaths of so many heroes.

A film then dealing with her escaping with the Gauntlet would certainly be a good way to do a third Infinity ensemble, and a good way to tie up the familial tension arc that was introduced in Guardians Of The Galaxy. Nothing stings more than a family betrayal, after all.

Likelihood: 3/10

Something dramatic is going to have to happen to beat Thanos when he ascends to God-like status, and this Shakespearean approach would be the best means. Plus it gives a strong female character something interesting to do, and establishes a major threat for the emerging new superhero teams without having to do a full escalation beyond Thanos.

But then again, would they really do a third grand-scale movie focused on the same story a year after Avengers 4?
