Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Things We Learned From EW's Cover Story

6. Vision Is A MacGuffin

Of all the characters worth worrying about in Infinity War, Vision has to be close to the top of the list. After all, while the other Avengers are either looking for the Infinity Stones or at least trying to stop Thanos getting his hands on them, Vision has a Stone inside his head and relies upon it to survive. As we've already glimpsed in the trailer, it's a major target, as director Anthony Russo says:

“Vision is a living MacGuffin. Obviously, that raises the stakes because Vision’s life is in danger, and his life is in conflict with Thanos’ goals, so something’s got to give. Cap makes the decision to bring [Vision] here to Wakanda. Earth is making its last stand to keep the stone from Thanos. It’s the best place to make your last stand.”

Last stand is an interesting choice of words there, too. The trailer did make it look like the Battle of Wakanda would be the movie's climax, but does this also imply that, by that stage, the only Infinity Stone Thanos doesn't have is the one in Vision's head?
