1. Wakanda Was Originally Going To Appear In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

Though Joss Whedon has spoken pretty extensively about the numerous almost-happenings that occurred during the writing process for both of his Avengers movies, he further confessed during the roundtable that Avengers: Age of Ultron was originally going to introduce audiences to Wakanda for the first time:

"Wakanda was going to be in [Age of Ultron]. And then we kept like, 'Well, it's at the gates, it's by the...', and then we started referring to it as Wakanda. And then finally we were like, 'Let's just wait on this one.'"

Given how wildly overstuffed Age of Ultron ultimately ended up being, this was absolutely the right choice on Whedon's part.
