Avengers: Infinity War - 10 Villains (Other Than Thanos) That Could Appear
8. The Red Skull
The Red Skull is one of Captain America's oldest, and most recognisable, villains in Marvel comics, yet has so far only appeared once in the MCU. The main villain in Captain America: The First Avengers, the Red Skull was last seen being sucked into a portal created by the Tesseract. However, it remains unclear whether this actually killed him or not. Although he seemed to disintegrate in the portal, there is every possibility that he was actually teleported somewhere else. After all, Loki used a similar portal to arrive on Earth at the start of Avengers Assemble. If he did die, Thanos would be able to revive him using the Infinity Gems. If he survived, he may have been working for the Titan for several decades. Having Captain America face his original enemy would be a perfect move for the franchise, bringing the character's evolution over the intervening films full circle. While actor Hugo Weaving has already hinted that he may not be reprising his role as the Red Skull even if the character does return, the costume requires such a large amount of prosthetics that it would be easy for another actor to take on the role. After all, no-one really noticed, or cared, that they replaced Edward Norton as the Hulk.
With a (nearly) useless degree in English literature and a personal trainer qualification he's never used, Freddie spends his times writing things that he hopes will somehow pay the rent. He's also a former professional singer, and plays the saxophone and ukulele. He's not really used to talking about himself in the third person, and would like to stop now, thanks.
