Avengers: Infinity War - 11 More Characters' Fates Revealed (And What They Mean)

1. Jane Foster

Status: UNKNOWN (but probably ALIVE)

Despite leaving the MCU after Thor: The Dark World with some dark clouds having formed over the relationship, Natalie Portman's multiverse expert Jane Foster might well be back, because her fate is another of those "spoilers" according to the directors.

According to Anthony Russo, "when we say spoiler, [we mean] potential spoiler," which seems to suggest most that she might be headed back to the MCU.

Impact:

There had been some vague suggestions that Portman might be interested in a return to the MCU amidst rumours of a return. And though some are complaining about the idea of her being relegated to a mere romantic side-interest again, that's not necessarily the case.

Avengers 4 needs Foster for her scientific prowess. She was - after all - one of Earth's leading astrophysicists and a key figure in potentially understanding the multiverse from a scientific point of view. On top of that, she has experience with the Reality Stone, which might make her even more important.

And it defintiely sounds like she's on her way back.
