Avengers: Infinity War - 12 Behind-The-Scenes Secrets You Need To Know

11. There WERE Fake Scenes

As we've been very heavily instructed by the Russos and Marvel, the value on Infinity War's spoilers is being treated as a premium internally by the studio, with only limited footage being shown ahead of the global premiere in LA and a specific request from the film-makers (via Thanos) not to spoil anything.

That's no exactly unprecedented, but it does sit in line with the idea that there are some huge surprises that have been very consciously hidden from the public (and "ace scoopers" on the set). Another part of that agenda was the whisper that the Russos were actually filming fake scenes to throw people off the scent. The rumour has partly been denied, but the production definitely had SOME misdirection involved.

That much was confirmed by Paul Bettany, who revealed that the script included some fake scenes:

“When I read the script there were fake scenes in it. I got the directors on the phone and they walked me through what were the fake scenes. They’d had three leaks already, so they’d written a script with lots of fake scenes. There were three Hero iPads that had the only real script on them.”
