11. Scarlet Witch "Destroys" Everyone

The more you look at Scarlet Witch's arc, the more it seems that she's headed for a narrative flashpoint that is potentially even more devastating than anything Thanos could do. And it wouldn't just be a case of her killing everyone off in conventional terms: her powers mean she'd fundamentally alter reality to stop Thanos' rampage from even being able to happen.

So far, Wanda has been set up as a volatile, emotional wildcard whose powers are very much tied to her stability. When her brother is killed by Ultron, she almost loses it completely, and her hi-jack of the Avengers' minds was mostly powered by the hatred she felt for them for Tony Stark "killing" her parents.

Just imagine what's going to happen when she loses Vision - the love of her life - who is seemingly destined to be killed off for the Infinity Stone on his forehead. That's the kind of trigger that might make her mimic her House Of M reality warp that reimagines the realities of Marvel's key superheroes.

Just imagine if she reacts to Vision's death by building a complex illusion in which there are no superheroes, and thus no chance for her to lose more friends and loved ones. Where she lives peacefully with Vision and Thanos can't affect them. That would be a hell of a statement and the perfect culmination of her arc.
