Since Avengers: Infinity War is pulling together threads from the history of the MCU so far, there's not a lot of room for totally new additions. The onus is on bringing established heroes to one point, but there is at least one notable piece of casting for the movie: Peter Dinklage.

It was revealed back in January that the Game of Thrones star would be joining Infinity War (and quite possibly Avengers 4 too), although there's no word on what his role will actually be.

Ever since it was announced, there have been two main possibilities. The first is that he'll be Pip the Troll, which stems partly from Dinklage's height, but also the fact Pip is the sidekick of Adam Warlock (who won't be appearing until Guardians 3), and has a decent role throughout the Infinity storyline in the comics.

The other option is that he's playing MODOK (Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing), a villain who has opposed many an Avenger, starting with Captain America. Though there's no major connection to the story, it's rumoured Thanos will work with other villains in the movie, and MODOK is one that Infinity War co-writer Christopher Markus has spoken about introducing before - with Dinklage in mind for the role, no less.

Either would be interesting to see, such is Dinklage's talent, and there's always the possibility it's neither of them (further speculations include the likes of Mephisto, Starfox, and Eternity).
