7. Loki Is Toast

The trailers for Infinity War have shown Loki handing over the Space Stone (the Tesseract) to Thanos while being held at bay by the Black Order.

It remains somewhat ambiguous as to whether he's being directly forced to give the Tesseract to Thanos or he's using it as a bargaining chip to save his own life, but either way, it clearly lands in the Mad Titan's possession.

However, it's tough to believe that Thanos would let Loki live regardless, especially considering that Loki previously failed Thanos during the Battle of New York, and we don't see him anywhere else in the trailers.

Basically, Thanos is going to put the Space Stone in the Infinity Gauntlet and punch Loki into a fine paste that even he can't come back from. It'll give Thor the perfect, fiery motivation moving forward (as if a bunch of dead Asgardians and the fate of the universe weren't enough).
