The Rumour: Perhaps the most plausible rumour ahead of Infinity War's release was that the Soul Stone would be revealed to be hidden in Wakanda, and some fans made the rather plausible deduction that it would probably be buried underneath the field where the heart-shaped herb grows. In essence, the Soul Stone would be responsible for the plant's vitality-enhancing properties.

The Truth: This was a pretty neat idea, but surprisingly, it wasn't the case at all. The Soul Stone ended up being hidden on Vormir, of course, and Wakanda's specialness in fact seems to have no outward connection to the Infinity Stones at all.
