5. The Guardians Hold Hands And Beat The Power Stone

The climax of Guardians Of The Galaxy is obviously designed to make us all realise how beautiful the power of friendship can be in overcoming even the most profound of threats. It's something that will probably come up again in Infinity War, to be honest, but it's one of those hippy messages people who like to post inspirational messages on Instagram would probably say.

While confronting Ronan, Peter manages to get his hands on the Power Stone (which previously killed The Collector's servant girl) and struggles to control its powers. So the other Guardians hold hands with him to share the burden and eventually they redirect its power into Ronan, evaporating him.

But this is a Stone that is literally capable of destroying entire planets - how the hell could holding hands stop it from doing anything? The Guardians should be a grease stain on Xandar's surface.
