Seeded to be very important in no less than three post-credits sequences (Civil War, Ant-Man and Black Panther), Bucky's time in Infinity War is... a bit flat, to be honest.

He still gets time to level a few Outriders with his new Wakandan arm, but Bucky's collapse into ash is the first major shock death. We knew he was being pruned and refined to carry Cap's shield, and yet... he disappears in seconds.

Regardless, there's just no way that's it for Bucky. Either he or Falcon have to be the next Captain America when Chris Evans is done after Avengers 4, and unless we're losing that character/role overall, I don't see Marvel discarding so much progress.

The only flipside is, well, do you think Sebastian Stan is enough of a presence to follow Chris Evans?
