According to the Russo Brothers, an earlier draft of the screenplay would have seen the two lovers in Paris, and rather than being attacked by Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, "a swarm of Outriders" were set to attack the heroes instead, and that admittedly sounds cooler than what we got.

Ultimately, both heroes fell during Thanos' attack on Wakanda, but there was a version of the screenplay where Wanda survived. "We had whole drafts with Wanda on a road trip with Rocket, but after the Vision plot in Infinity War, nothing we came up with was anything but wheel spinning for her character," Markus explained, detailed scrapped plans for the hero in Avengers: Endgame.

Rocket instead embarked on a mission with Thor, and previous leaks have indicated that the Guardian of the Galaxy and Scarlet Witch were going to visit the HYDRA controlled Triskelion in 2014.
